Early Pre-K Program, 3 year olds.

Our three year old program is designed to prepare students for the Pre-K Program by learning new information and encouraged to preform new tasks.

By using self-directed activities in Play Centers they have the opportunity to explore and learn by just having fun. The Centers are: Dramatic Play, Blocks and Building Design, Math and Activities Table, Music and Movement, Sand and water Table, Library and Literature, and Writing and Art Table. Each Center through play promotes independence, fosters ideals and decision making.
Learning is not just limited to inside. Our outdoor play area is incorporated also. We extend our classroom outside by having art supplies available and planned physical activities.

Toddlers

Children 24 to 36 months are daring and bold. They are just begging to reach out and test the waters. CMA understands this is a very important time in your child’s life and the need for self-esteem and independence is important.

At this stage your child will develop self-help skills of personal hygiene, potty training and dressing. We encourage Toddlers to be independent and verbal of their needs. Toddlers learn they have a voice and demand to be heard. Our Teachers are trained to recognize and acknowledge each child individuals need and address it with love.
Educational skills are also addressed. Our Teachers are trained and skilled with weekly themes that stimulate and encourage Toddlers to think and imagine. Daily reading of theme related books along with site words increase the Toddlers word base.
The Spanish Language along with numbers are also introduced to increase the child’s vocabulary base.
Our Teachers love for parents to participate in their child’s progress and can share material and activities with parents.

Beginners

Toddler Jr.’s – Children 12 months to 24 months are the most fun to teach and observe. Providing an environment for stimulating these little minds is a great and enjoyable challenge. These are the months of firsts; first steps, first words and many more steps in developing young minds.

We use Little Einstein video along with site words and sign language to increase and expand the base knowledge in which to build upon. Reading is an essential part of our daily planning.
We encourage self-esteem by teaching daily living activities such as feeding and picking up after one self and following simple direction. Praise and rewards of welcomed hugs of encouragement are incentives for a child to learn more.
Coordination of lower and upper body muscles are strengthened by movement to music and dance. Our toddlers play outside each day on appropriate size play equipment to increase gross motor skills.
Our teachers are trained yearly to further their educational training to create a quality learning environment.

Infant Program

Children 6 weeks to 12 months are surrounded in a safe, warm and nurturing environment. We develop an individual plan of care for each child as it applies to the stage of growth. Our room embraces each child with music and bright stimuli to promote social and physical growth. Studies have shown infants progress is better and healthier in an environment of constant physical and verbal contact. Our teachers love to hold and interact with your child giving personal individual care. A report of your child’s events will be sent home daily.
Each infant has his/her own crib and linens, cleaned and sanitized daily. Toys are age appropriate and sanitized daily.
Each infant has an individual feeding plan, updated by parents as the infant grows into advanced stages. All food and formula is labeled and dated and separate from each other.
Our staff is current in First Aid and Infant CPR Training. Our staff also holds current certificates in infectious disease control, injury prevention and child abuse.
